Effects of Improper Waste Disposal

  

 

        Every day, hundreds of people use plastics, cans, and glass bottles without knowing how to properly dispose of them. Some people throw it in trash cans, while others throw it anywhere, and guess where those trashes end up, in water. This attitude toward improper waste disposal illustrates the people's lack of understanding of the proper ways of segregating their garbage. If this situation worsens, it will have an impact on the entire community's personal health and way of life, particularly on those who engage in this type of illegal activity.

Consequences of Improper Waste Disposal

1. Habitat loss is one of the possible effects of improper waste disposal, which can result in the extinction of ecosystems and habitats. The destruction of vital habitats for different species due to waste disposal in natural areas can result in habitat fragmentation and a loss of biodiversity. 

2.  Flooding and other standing water in waste items promote cholera and vector-borne diseases like malaria and dengue.

3.  Plant Dying Chemicals in the air, water, and soil have terrible effects on plants, with the majority of plants being killed by contaminated soil. Rainwater can be toxic to plants and kill them even if there are no contaminants in the soil.  

4.  Illegal waste disposal contributes to excess gases entering the atmosphere and causing these issues. The breakdown of the waste produces gases such as methane, which contributes significantly to global climate change. 

5.  Worsening Infrastructure Plastics and other wastes will clog drains and contaminate drinking water in local water sources. Land pollution creates breeding grounds for pests such as rats, which thrive in dirty environments.

Some people discard their trash carelessly. They do not consider how their acts can affect the environment or people's health. The act of disposing of waste in a way that harms the environment is known as improper waste disposal. Examples include littering, dumping hazardous waste on the ground, and failing to recycle items that ought to be recycled.

                   Organizations employ a simplified procedure known as a waste management system or trash disposal to get rid of, reduce, reuse, and prevent waste. Additionally, it refers to a strategy that businesses use to efficiently manage wastes from their point of origin to disposal. Recycling, composting, waste to energy, and waste minimization are a few potential waste disposal techniques. When it comes to waste management, it refers to the techniques used to control waste throughout its entire life cycle, from generation through disposal or recovery some of the ways we can lessen and manage our garage are:

1. Public trash cans

              Trash containers help us keep our trashes in one place and its easier for our City garbage collector to collect it since our garbage is stored in one particular area.

2.  Ban plastics in the area

                 Not using or allowing people use plastics when entering area might be an effective solution since  trashes that can be seen in the area is mostly plastics and when those materials enter the water it would be hard to clean it up. 

3. Using Reusable Materials
